Tile

Ceramics, Natural Stone, or Glass, tile has many benefits when installed correctly.  Higher cost of materials and installation are offset by an extremely long life cycle cost.  Natural materials, long life cycle, and recycled materials used in some manufacturing processes make this a very Earth-friendly, sustainable option also.
Many people's perceived negatives about tile can be easily remedied.  Cold floors can be warmed by radiant heat systems.  Showers will have no problems when waterproofed, installed to TCNA guidelines, and premium setting materials used.  
The many design options of tile are reason enough to explore this wonderful option for floor and wall coverings.
